What gets collected
If you just read the site: essentially nothing personal. Standard server logs — IP address, browser type, pages visited — are processed by the hosting platform to keep the site running and secure.
If you subscribe: your email address, an optional name if you provide one, and your subscription preferences. That's it.
How it's used
- Delivering the newsletter and account emails you signed up for
- Basic aggregate analytics — which posts get read, how many subscribers open a given email — so I know what's worth writing more of
- Keeping the site secure and functional
Your email is never sold, rented, or shared with anyone else. Period.
Cookies
This site uses essential cookies only — session cookies that keep members signed in and make subscriptions work. No third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Who processes the data
- Ghost (Ghost Foundation / Ghost Pro) — hosts this site and stores member data. Ghost's privacy policy
- Cloudflare — provides DNS and security services for the domain
- Email delivery provider — used solely to send newsletters to subscribers
Your control
- Unsubscribe — one click, in the footer of every email
- Update or delete your data — email me and I'll remove your subscriber record entirely

If this policy changes materially, the effective date above changes with it. Significant changes get noted in the newsletter.
